Intern (Spring 2026)

At National Scholarship Trust (NST), interns play a pivotal role in the day-to-day functions within their respective departments. Our interns are integral members of the NST team, actively involved in significant projects and initiatives. They are immersed in problem-solving and process improvement activities, contributing equally alongside the rest of our NST staff. We are dedicated to providing practical skills and professional experience, and our interns regularly interact with our leaders and seasoned professionals.

This internship typically runs from early January to early May.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Undertake and successfully complete projects that support departmental and organizational objectives.
  • Actively participate in departmental meetings and contribute to discussions.
  • Collaborate with team members to analyze challenges, create solutions, and devise implementation strategies.
  • Conduct additional research and project tasks as required.
  • Offer innovative ideas and a fresh perspective to aid in the team’s success.
  • Demonstrate proactive involvement by reliably completing tasks and taking ownership of responsibilities.

This list is not comprehensive; additional duties may be allocated as needed but are not the primary focus of the position.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Keen interest in the intersection of financial services and the philanthropic or non-profit sectors.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of clear and concise information delivery to multiple audiences.
  • Adaptability and openness to learn and adjust in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in standard software tools like Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all tasks.
  • Strong work ethic, demonstrating reliability and a commitment to quality.
  • Learning agility and enthusiasm for acquiring and applying new skills.
  • Positive, team-focused attitude, with an optimistic and collaborative approach.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding NST's core values and principles.

Compensation:

At NST, we value the dedication and contributions of our interns and believe in compensating them fairly for their hard work and commitment. For this internship position, we offer a competitive hourly wage of $20. Interns are expected to work 40 hours per week, providing them with a full-time engagement experience and the opportunity to immerse deeply in their projects and departmental activities. This compensation is designed not only to provide a financial reward, but also to reflect the significant role our interns play in our organization and NST’s commitment to their professional growth and development in the field of educational philanthropy.
