Meet the driving forces behind NST's vision and success.

Christine Budasoff
Director
Christine Budasoff is an associate at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP. She began her legal career as law clerk to the Honorable David B. Sentelle of the United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
Ms. Budasoff was a John Marshall Fellow with the Claremont Institute and a Fellow with the James Wilson Institute. She also attended the Federalist Society’s James Kent Summer Academy and the Georgetown Center for the Constitution’s Originalism Summer Seminar.
She earned her B.A. from Wake Forest University and her J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law. She has been a member of the Federalist Society since 2015, and was President of the UNC Federalist Society.

Danny Budasoff
Director
Danny Budasoff is a tech entrepreneur, angel investor, and tax attorney.
Mr. Budasoff began his legal career as law clerk to the Honorable Richard T. Morrison of the United States Tax Court, and as an associate at Cooley LLP.
He earned his B.A. from Wake Forest University, J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law, and LL.M. in Taxation from the New York University School of Law. He has been a member of the Federalist Society since 2015, and was Executive VP of the UNC Federalist Society.

Adam Griffin
Director
Adam Griffin is a trial attorney. He litigates to protect the civil rights guaranteed by federal law and to uphold equal justice under the Constitution.
He began his legal career as law clerk to the Honorable Richard E. Myers Il of United States District Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina, as a Constitutional Law Fellow at the Institute for Justice, and a separation of powers attorney at the Pacific Legal Foundation.
He earned his B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and his J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law. He has been a member of the Federalist Society since 2016, was President of the UNC Federalist Society, and serves on the Executive Committee for the Federalist Society’s Federalism & Separation of Powers Practice Group.

Caleb Johnson
Director
Caleb Johnson is an associate at DLA Piper LLP (US). He litigates cases in Delaware federal and state courts involving mergers and acquisitions, breach of fiduciary duties, and breach of contract.
He began his legal career as law clerk to the Honorable Abigail M. LeGrow of the Superior Court of Delaware’s Complex Commercial Litigation Division, and as an associate at Young Conaway Stargatt & Taylor, LLP.
He earned his B.A. from Campbell University and his J.D. from the University of North Carolina School of Law. He has been a member of the Federalist Society since 2014, and was President of the UNC Christian Legal Society.

Samuel Abrams
Advisor
Samuel J. Abrams is a nonresident senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, where he focuses on questions of related civic and political culture and American ideologies. He is concurrently a professor of politics and social science at Sarah Lawrence College, and a faculty fellow with New York University’s Center for Advanced Social Science Research.
He earned his B.A. in political science and government from Stanford University, and his Ph.D. and M.A. in the same field from Harvard University.
John Ellis
Advisor
John Ellis is Distinguished Professor Emeritus of German Literature at the University of California, Santa Cruz. He taught at universities in England, Wales, and Canada before joining UCSC in 1966, serving as dean of the Graduate Division in 1977–86. He is the author of ten books, including “The Breakdown of Higher Education: How It Happened, the Damage It Does, and What Can Be Done.” His articles on education reform have appeared in prominent national publications.
He earned his B.A. in German and philosophy from London University, and his Ph.D. in German literature from the same institution.
Thomas Lindsay
Advisor
Thomas Lindsay is the Higher Education Policy Director for Next Generation Texas. He has more than two decades’ experience in education management and instruction, including service as a dean, provost, and college president.
He earned his B.A. in political science from Northern Illinois University, and his Ph.D. and M.A. in political science and government from the University of Chicago.
